How Busy is Too Busy?

Busyness is practically worshipped in our American culture. I suppose we can thank our Puritan forefathers for the no nonsense "get shit done" and don't dilly dally about it ideal that is perpetuated. Taking time for yourself is a luxury. Self care is a billion dollar industry because we know we should slow down, but the shame we feel when we do is very real and very deeply ingrained. How do we break this mold?

Oh, how I rail against the obstacles! “If only X were gone, then Y would be possible”. 

How can I look at my life today and choose to see only the path that is and not the path I want to be there?

Obstacles will always be in the way. If experience has taught me anything it’s that this is true. Life without obstacles is a fairy tale, but one that I tell myself over and over again...

I’ve been trying a new practice - intention setting. I’ve done it haphazardly for a while, but I decided it was time to make it a standard part of my daily life. Here’s the basic idea: I set an intention for the month, then do weekly check-ins, revamps, etc, and daily I see where I can implement the intention into my day...

So, what it is with intention setting? What is it? Why am I doing it? Why do I feel the need to share it with you?
