Yoga is ultimately an individual journey. There are universal principles of body and of mind, but we are all unique. We are all forged through our own set of experiences, personalities, careers… Working one on one allows your uniqueness to shine. It allows you to blossom; it allows you to celebrate who you are, instead of trying to force yourself into someone else’s idea of who you should be or what your pose should look like. Group classes are fantastic. I love them! I teach them! But even the very best instructor can’t address the needs of each and every student in class. Working individually lets you discover what poses, what modifications, what modes of learning work best for you. It allows for transformation on a whole new level. We don’t all need the same things, so why cross your fingers and hope you will get what you need when you can make sure? I can help.


Private Yoga is a 1 on 1 attention to detail experience. Each session is crafted based on your personal needs, your goals, your body, and your schedule. You will not be asked to fit your body into a ready made container (i.e. - no pre packaged routines), instead we will work together to create a practice that addresses your concerns, your current strength and mobility levels, and your stated desires. This means each session will take into account what your body, and your mind, need in the moment. Some days your sessions might focus on strength and flexibility, some days might be all about balance or joint mobility, and some days we might focus entirely on relaxation and restoration. 

Whatever your goals might be, you can expect to:

  • lengthen and strengthen your musculature
  • increase your range of motion
  • stabilize and mobilize your joints
  • gain a better sense of balance and poise
  • deepen your breath and increase your lung capacity
  • develop more functional movement patterns to create better posture and decrease pain.

Prior to setting up any private sessions we will schedule a 20 - 30 minute phone consultation to make sure we are a perfect fit. This also gives me the chance to gage your goals and needs and allows our time together on the mat to be its most productive and beneficial. 

* These sessions are primarily conducted over the magic of the internet. Virtual sessions allow us to work closely together while allowing you the freedom to practice in your own home. It also means that we don't have to be neighbors; geography is not a barrier.
